TO ALREADY JAM-PACKED SCHEDULE

Sheena Metal HeadshotSheena Metal, an entertainment icon who has anchored numerous radio shows for 20 years in Los Angeles and was named one of Talkers Magazine’s 2013 Frontier Fifty (an exclusive selection of outstanding talk media webcasters) has added a television show and another radio program to her already full broadcasting schedule. She is also serving as emcee of the new monthly Comedy Carnivale event, featuring a stellar line-up of comics from television and films at the Hollywood Improv.

On SiriusXM Radio channel 102, Metal now hosts On Air With Club CalExotics, a program focusing on the sex toy revolution. Carnival Sideshow, featuring Metal, Susan Olsen, and Robbie Rist (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Sharknado) is seen at FilmOnTV.com, broadcast in Miami and Philadelphia, and on Sky 292 in the UK.

Sheena Metal serves on the Boards of Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA and the Harvey Milk Foundation; she annually produces, directs, and acts in a production of The Vagina Monologues to benefit a chosen anti-violence charity, and she is a regular on the Child of the 70s web series. Metal will also host the second annual Queer As Folk Rise ‘n Shine Convention in Los Angeles, June 7-9. The premiere Rise ‘n Shine event took place in Cologne in 2012, and this will be the first such gathering in the United States. Friends and fans of the now legendary Showtime series, which aired for five seasons from 2000-2005, will gather at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, 9750 Airport Boulevard, in Los Angeles, 90045.

Brash humor and genuine emotion made up this original series revolving around the lives, loves, ambitions, careers and friendships of a group of gay men and women living on Liberty Avenue in contemporary Pittsburgh, PA. The show offered an unapologetic look at modern, urban gay and lesbian lives while addressing the most critical health and political issues affecting the community. Sometimes racy, sometimes sensitive, and always straight to the heart, Queer As Folk was groundbreaking television at its best.
